On reading, writing, and how the stories we're exposed to can shape our perspectives. It's eighteen minutes long, but more than worth a listen.

The problem with the single story is this: it robs people of dignity. It makes our recognition of our equal humanity difficult. It emphasizes how we are different, rather than how we are similar.

Word. I would quote the whole talk back at you if I could.

That was unbelievably cool, you guys. And I think the fact that you can pretty much recognise where most of the clips and even the music were taken from makes it even more awesome and impressive and fun to watch.
